This (ongoing) collection explores the early process of dreaming about home, the sanctuary we would create for ourselves. Sometimes it starts with an anchoring color or a landscape feature, but usually just a feeling. A loose architecture begins to form, represented here as layered shapes and textures held in place with thread. A humble little house always stands as a universal starting point. Materials: Muslin, block printing ink, mull, bookcloth, paper, vellum, laundry sheets, thread.
